Job Description:
We are a growing general contracting company seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Handy Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and a strong background in various aspects of residential and commercial construction. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality of our projects and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Finish Carpentry: Perform tasks such as trim work, door and window installation, and cabinet fitting.
- Drywall and Taping: Install, repair, and finish drywall to a high standard.
- Siding: Install and repair various types of exterior siding.
- Deficiency and Warranty Work: Address and resolve issues reported by clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Client and Subcontractor Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on deficiency and warranty matters, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to manage site-related tasks.
- General Site Management: Assist with on-site tasks, including material management and site cleanup.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience of 3-5 years in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in finish carpentry, drywall installation and taping, and siding.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
