VOLUNTEER POSITION

Lost Paws Committee Members (positions below)

Lost Paws is looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team in organizing events, raising awareness, and supporting the Kingston Humane Society. Our committee members will help organize both remote and in-person events (if permissible), participate in weekly meetings, and assist with local trips to walk the dogs of community members who otherwise cannot. If public volunteering resumes at the Humane Society, you may also have the opportunity to supervise trips to the shelter and care for animals in need. Each position focuses on specific responsibilities, but all work together to raise funds and awareness for the Humane Society.

Time Commitment and Remuneration

*Eligible candidates must have paid the Arts & Science Undergraduate Membership Fee

8-month term from September, 2025 to April 30th, 2026.

Positions Available

  • Social Media Coordinator
    • Manage and curate content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
    • Promote upcoming events and fundraising initiatives through engaging posts.
    • Grow our online community and raise awareness for the Kingston Humane Society.
    • Collaborate with other team members to align on messaging and campaigns.
  • Outreach Coordinator
    • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and supporters.
    • Help organize local trips and collaborate with community members who need dog-walking assistance.
    • Coordinate outreach events to engage the public and potential volunteers.
    • Represent the Kingston Humane Society at community events and fairs.
  • Volunteer Coordinator
    • Recruit, onboard, and train new volunteers.
    • Manage volunteer schedules for events, local trips, and shelter visits.
    • Ensure volunteers are engaged and motivated by providing support and recognition.
    • Communicate regularly with volunteers to ensure they are aware of upcoming opportunities.
  • Events Coordinator
    • Preparation of any events on campus, including handling the table/room bookings and AMS event forms
    • Coordinates with the co-chairs regarding purchasing any new supplies needed to run events
      effectively
  • KHS Trips Coordinator
    • Connect with Kingston Humane Society to create a volunteer schedule.
    • Outreach to potential drivers for KHS trips.
    • Create schedules, and communicate changes and updates to volunteers.

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly meetings
  • Participate in Local Trips, supervise trips to the Humane Society and foster a loving environment for the animals
  • Organize and run events
  • Fulfill the specific duties of their individual committee member positions
