Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a qualified Risk Lead for the Metrolinx, Ontario Line Integrated Project Team (IPT), based out of Toronto, ON. The Risk Lead, will be responsible for the timely collection, analysis, summary and issuing of progress reports and other data and information for all the contracts under a specified segment. The Ontario Line is a brand-new metro line serving some of Toronto's busiest districts and brings much needed additional connectivity and capacity to the city's public transport network. The project scope includes the design, build, operation and maintenance of all infrastructure and rail systems associated with 15 stations and over 15 km of new underground, surface, and elevated track.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic advisor to project leadership, influencing key decisions through risk insights.
- Shape project outcomes by identifying emerging risks and driving mitigation strategies early in the lifecycle.
- Lead cross-functional risk workshops and drive consensus on mitigation strategies.
- Advise senior stakeholders on risk posture, contingency planning, and escalation protocols.
- Champion a culture of risk awareness, transparency, and continuous improvement across the project team.
- Develop and maintain quantitative risk models (QCRA/QSRA) to inform cost and schedule forecasts.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across risk registers and reporting tools.
- Leverage Sword ARM software to manage complex risk portfolios and generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate with planning, cost, and engineering teams to align risk strategies with project delivery goals.
- Ensure risk data feeds into executive dashboards and decision-making frameworks.
- Administer all risk and issue registers in Sword ARM.
- Support risk owners in recording and updating risks/issues and related details.
- Organize and facilitate risk identification, assessment, and treatment workshops.
- Maintain consistent reporting timelines and ensure data accuracy aligned with cut-off dates.
- Monitor and communicate critical risks/issues in weekly meetings.
- Review contractor reports for new risks/issues and ensure updates are reflected.
- Engage with all project disciplines to identify and manage area-specific risks.
- Eliminate duplication across risk, issue, and early warning registers.
- Guide risk owners in developing and updating mitigation plans; actively monitor execution.
- Conduct routine assessments to track progress and identify gaps in mitigation efforts.
- Provide backup support for other analysts as needed.
- Maintain and validate dashboard content, highlight inconsistencies, and coordinate resolutions.
- Support QCRA/QSRA execution per the Ontario Line Risk Management Plan.
- Liaise with contractor risk counterparts to ensure alignment and capture of transferred risks.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience with a university degree in engineering, construction, or business.
- Minimum 4 years of direct risk management experience in large-scale infrastructure or contracting projects.
- Proficiency in Sword ARM or similar risk management software.
- Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with Microsoft SQL, Power Apps, and Forms is an asset.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
