This is where you come in, as the Logistics Planning Associate, you'll blend operational know-how with data-driven insight to optimize how our products move across North America. From coordinating carriers to building dashboards that tell the story behind the numbers, you'll play a key role in ensuring that each delivery is not just on time but exceptionally executed.
You'll help shape the systems, processes, and analytics that power our logistics engine, turning complexity into clarity and using data to unlock smarter, faster, more scalable ways to move beautiful furniture.
Why We Need You:
In the Logistics Operations team, we need a detail-oriented and analytical problem solver to bring more visibility, speed, and efficiency to how our products move across North America. As we implement new systems and scale our operations, this role will be key to driving data-led decisions and optimizing our end-to-end logistics processes.
This fits into our larger need to standardize logistics performance, improve delivery outcomes, and reduce transportation costs, all essential to elevating the customer experience and supporting Article's growth.
Within the first few months, you'll become a subject matter expert in our new Order Management System (OMS), building dashboards and data flows that highlight key logistics metrics. In a year, you'll be proud to say you've shaped how we plan and measure our transportation network, influencing strategy through insight and helping us scale smarter.

About the Team:

What You'll DoYou'll be part of a collaborative team of logistics specialists and operations leaders working to solve real-time transportation challenges and optimize the movement of goods across North America.
- Plan and coordinate transportation operations — forward and reverse — to ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and optimal carrier usage.
- Design and maintain dashboards that bring visibility to key performance indicators like DIFOT, cost per shipment, and capacity utilization.
- Analyze routing, scheduling, and load consolidation data to uncover patterns and drive operational improvements.
- Collaborate closely with carrier partners to schedule freight, monitor service levels, and implement performance-enhancing changes.
- Lead carrier performance reporting by integrating insights into visual tools for fast, effective decisions.
- Support freight invoice audits and identify cost anomalies through analytical tools and data trends.
- Partner with our Continuous Improvement team to test and scale new logistics solutions.
- Act as a system SME during OMS and TMS rollouts, supporting reporting and analytics setup.
- Develop and validate dashboards and test scripts to ensure accurate reporting across systems.
- Work cross-functionally with Fulfillment, Warehouse, and Tech teams to align logistics strategy with operational goals.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or supply chain analytics, ideally in an e-commerce or retail setting.
- You're confident using data tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and extracting insights with SQL or spreadsheets.
- Experience built dashboards that drive decisions and know how to make them user-friendly and meaningful.
- Bring strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, using data to identify trends and build solutions.
- You understand systems like TMS and OMS and how to use them to improve logistics performance.
- Collaborates well with cross-functional teams and can explain complex data in a clear, actionable way.
- You're resilient and adaptable, comfortable navigating system upgrades, shifting priorities, and change.
- You think in systems, identify root causes, and enjoy continuous improvement work.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
- Completion of a criminal background check.
