Salary Range: $19.31 to $21.68 per hour per Schedule “A”
Hours of Work: As per CA.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Instruct City of Woodstock recreation programs
    • Recreation programs may include, but are not limited to, sports, dance, educational (ex. Home Alone), music, and more.
    • Deliver City of Woodstock March Break, Winter Break, and P.A. day camp programs.
  2. Deliver City of Woodstock birthday party packages, themes may include, but are not limited to, sport parties, nerf parties, dance parties, and more.
  3. Performs duties such as, but not limited to:
  • Responsible for the direct supervision of participants;
  • Responsible for following and adapting lesson plans;
  • Responsible for the tracking of programs, attendance, incidents, and accidents;
  • Know and follow facility and department policies and procedures (including emergency procedures);
  • Follow safety supervision basics and ensure safety of program participants. Practice a preventative approach to safety;
  • Deliver programs following the HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development and Design Guidelines.
  1. Works with minimal supervision.
  2. Ability to deal with the public (handle complaints, inquiries) in a pleasant and courteous manner.
  3. Refers inquiries or situations that they are unable to handle to full time staff or supervisor.
  4. Performs other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:Essential
  • Minimum Grade 10;
  • Must have Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification;
  • Must have HIGH FIVE - Principles of Healthy Child Development;
  • Must have experience in the programs that you will be hired to teach, including, but not limited to, sports, physical and non-physical activities, creative programs, and educational programs like Home Alone.
Preferred
  • An asset – Class G2 driver's license in good standing and access to a reliable vehicle.
Working Conditions:
  • Able to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, weekends, late nights and holidays, depending on the needs of the facility.
  • Hours of work will not exceed forty-eight (48) hours in a two-week period in accordance with the C.U.P.E., Local 1146 – Inside Part-time Unit collective agreement.
