We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and outgoing team player to join our Parking Patrol and Customer Service team, located in downtown Halifax.
WORK SCHEDULE:
The successful applicant will have a regular schedule of 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday to Friday. Additional hours may occasionally be required as operations dictate.
MUST HAVES:
Driver's license and clean drivers abstract is required. You will be operating a company vehicle from time to time.
Ability to obtain Special Constable designation from Nova Scotia Department of Justice is required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
During your day, you will be responsible for completing parking foot patrol and front-line customer service across a number of our downtown locations. This includes, but is not limited to:
- On foot, patrol parking lots to conduct enforcement, and provide assistance to customers.
- Issue private and municipal parking infractions.
- Attend provincial court when subpoenaed, from time to time, as it relates to the issuance of municipal parking infractions.
- Travel on foot between assigned parking lots to conduct regular patrols, provide assistance to customers, and assist other patrol team members as required.
- Take ownership and leadership of the overall parking operations for the locations assigned, while abiding by the standards and norms of Indigo.
- Inspect the parking area to verify that equipment and lighting function properly, that cars circulate without problems, that there is a sufficient quantity of supplies necessary to the proper functioning of the parking lot.
- Completing minor equipment repairs as required, and minimizing any downtime to parking operation.
- Clean all parking equipment and signage regularly.
- Provide assistance in person and remotely to customers in the use of the automated parking equipment, recognizing and respecting the individual needs of each customer.
- Changing garbage's, picking up litter.
- Minor snow removal and grass trimming.
- Emptying coins from payment kiosks.
- Transporting deposits and deliveries.
- Other duties as assigned.
You will typically spend half of your day completing foot patrols, and half of your day based in a parkade.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- High level of interpersonal skills, including poise and diplomacy.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools for making repairs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
