Our client, The Jilly Box, is a purpose-led B Corp certified quarterly lifestyle subscription box and ecommerce platform that brings joy and light into every home while lifting up Canadian, women-led and equity-deserving brands. From curated products and storytelling to philanthropy and sustainability efforts, the Jillian Harris team operates with heart, intention, and entrepreneurial spirit. As the business continues to expand in both scale and complexity, their operations team plays a pivotal role in ensuring every product launch, box cycle, and e-commerce release runs seamlessly behind the scenes.

They are currently seeking a highly organized, solutions-focused Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end operational execution of subscription boxes and e-commerce offerings. This role oversees packaging procurement, logistics, warehouse coordination, and inventory management, with a constant eye on sustainability, cost efficiency, and cross-team alignment. The Operations Manager will analyze and improve workflows, drive efficiencies across logistics, procurement, and fulfillment, and establish clear operational goals to support future growth. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role will play a critical part in optimizing operations and supporting the company's growth strategy.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee packaging and printed marketing materials purchasing; maintain supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and source ethical, sustainable vendors;
  • Evaluate bulk samples for quality assurance, manage supplier performance, and initiate chargebacks when necessary;
  • Manage quarterly warehouse supply assessments, coordinate inbound shipments, oversee quality control and receiving, and resolve packing list discrepancies;
  • Develop scalable processes for returns and restocking, monitor inventory levels to avoid delays or overages, and maintain related documentation;
  • Collaborate with suppliers on shipping routes, transportation methods, and international logistics;
  • Lead outbound volume forecasting, shipping carrier planning, and manage launch timelines and budgets with finance approval;
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, creative, procurement, and systems teams on launch readiness, Shopify setup, and tools for procurement and warehouse communication;
  • Document workflows to support operations and coach Operations team members, delegating tasks to balance workloads;
  • Champion sustainability initiatives focused on low-impact packaging and provide supplier data for marketing and B Corp reporting.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in operations management, supply chain, or logistics, ideally in consumer goods or subscription box industries;
  • Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and contract negotiations at scale;
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving process improvements;
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret operational data and KPIs to inform decisions;
  • Project management experience with ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines simultaneously;
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and e-commerce platforms (experience with Shopify is a plus);
  • Familiarity with sustainability and ethical sourcing standards;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable liaising with internal teams and external partners;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong initiative and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in budget management and operational forecasting.

This is a hybrid role requiring regular in-office attendance at the Kelowna, BC office and monthly visits to the Vernon warehouse. Candidates not currently within commuting distance must be willing to relocate. This exciting full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $85,000 per year, comprehensive benefits after a 3-month probation period, and the chance to grow with a B-Corp certified employer that genuinely values employee input. If you're a detail-oriented problem solver ready to take on a key leadership role in a collaborative, fun, and purpose-driven environment, we'd love to hear from you.

The recruitment process:

  • Video screen with Grace MacCoubrey, Potentia HR, and/or Kristy Calvert, Senior People and Culture Manager.
