Position Overview:
Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with a respected and innovative organization in their search for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced HR leader to provide strategic and operational support, guide key people initiatives, and contribute to the organization's long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
• Lead employee and labour relations, including performance management, investigations, grievances, and union negotiations.
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment and workforce planning initiatives.
• Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programs to foster an inclusive workplace.
• Enhance employee engagement, onboarding, and retention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable employment legislation and internal policies.
• Act as HR lead in the absence of the VP People & Culture.
Requirements:
• Minimum 6–8 years of progressive HR management experience in a unionized environment, supporting a large employee base.
• Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation required.
• Strong experience in recruitment, grievance handling, and union negotiations.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems (Ceridian Dayforce experience preferred).
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Must be based in Winnipeg, with flexibility to travel up to 5% as required.
