What We're looking for from you - If this describes you, we'd love to meet!

  • 1 to 3 years of construction, fabrication, or engineering-related experience, preferably within the oil and gas or industrial sectors
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment used in oil and gas projects
  • Familiarity with estimation software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, MS Office, Google Sheets) is a plus or willingness to learn
  • Strong numerical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and assist with data gathering and estimate compilation
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Desire to learn from and collaborate with senior estimators and project teams
  • Certification or training in construction, engineering, or estimation is an asset but not required

Duties:

  • Assist in reviewing client RFP documents and project scope under supervision
  • Support the collection of quantity takeoffs, subcontractor quotes, and labor/equipment data
  • Prepare preliminary cost estimates and budgets for projects, typically in the $100,000 to $5 million range
  • Help review proposals and tender documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Coordinate with other team members to gather necessary information for bids
  • Collaborate with the estimating team to support timely and competitive proposal submissions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and company processes
  • Assist in administrative tasks related to estimating and bid management
  • Participate in internal meetings and learning opportunities to develop estimating skills
