Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize our vehicle fleet operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a growing fleet of vehicles and drivers, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Operations: Manage the daily operations of Beanfield's fleet, including scheduling, dispatching, and routing of vehicles and drivers.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Coordinate regular maintenance, safety inspections, and repairs to ensure vehicle reliability and compliance.
- Cost & Financial Management: Monitor fleet expenses, track fuel consumption, negotiate vendor contracts, and identify opportunities for cost savings. Develop and manage the fleet budget.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all fleet operations adhere to federal, provincial, and local regulations, including CVOR compliance, safety standards, and documentation requirements. Implement safety protocols and accident management procedures.
- Driver Management: Oversee driver hiring, training, performance management, and policy adherence.
- Technology Integration: Utilize fleet management software, telematics systems, and performance tracking tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle history, maintenance logs, inspections, driver information, and incident reports.
- Strategic Planning: Support the development and execution of long-term fleet management strategies aligned with Beanfield's growth and sustainability goals.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of proven experience in fleet management or a related operational role.
- Experience with CVOR compliance is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with GPS fleet tracking systems such as Samsara is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, logistics, and transportation compliance.
- Proficiency in fleet management systems and telematics technologies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
