Position Overview
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our dynamic team. The RECE will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate programs for children ages 2 to 12 years, aligned with How Does Learning Happen? and the ELECT framework.
This is a school-year position that includes March Break, Christmas holidays, and summers off. Eligible staff may also collect Employment Insurance (EI) benefits during the summer break.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver developmentally appropriate programming for children ages 2–12.
- Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that supports children's well-being and sense of belonging.
- Observe and document children's learning and interests, using pedagogical documentation to guide curriculum planning.
- Encourage positive behavior, independence, and collaboration through play-based learning.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support a sense of community.
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators to support daily routines and transitions.
- Ensure compliance with CCEYA, Kinderseeds policies, and health and safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing professional learning and team development.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized institution.
- Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
- Familiarity with HDLH?, ELECT, and the Child Care and Early Years Act.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
