JOB TYPE: Full Time
LOCATION: Grande Prairie, Alberta
SALARY/WAGE: Starting at 70,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
CLOSING DATE: August 10, 2025 or until suitable candidate is found

JOB SUMMARY
The Agency is assisting the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation (GPRHF) in the recruitment of a Fund Development Officer. This is a rewarding opportunity for an emerging fundraising professional who is passionate about donor engagement, meaningful relationship-building, and making a tangible difference in community healthcare.

Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the Fund Development Officer plays a key role in executing annual and major gift campaigns, stewarding donor relationships, and supporting the Foundations strategic fundraising goals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and is ready to grow their impact in healthcare philanthropy.
RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Fund Development Officer, you will:

  • Support the development and implementation of Annual Giving and Major Gift strategies.
  • Build and manage donor pipelines segmented by giving levels and donor interests.
  • Prepare quarterly fundraising action plans that align with strategic fundraising goals.
  • Assist in identifying and growing third-party fundraising and peer-to-peer giving opportunities.
  • Conduct donor research and qualification to identify new giving opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
  • Coordinate stewardship plans, donor recognition, and impact reporting.
  • Represent the Foundation at regional events to increase visibility and build support.
  • Manage event logistics, donor communications, and volunteer coordination in partnership with internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records and engagement tracking in the CRM system.
  • Contribute to Foundation-led events such as the Festival of Trees.
  • Monitor and report on campaign metrics, donor engagement activities, and fundraising progress.
  • Support storytelling and donor-focused content for use in publications and campaigns.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and safe workplace aligned with the Foundations values.
    REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Annual Giving and/or Major Gifts is beneficial.
  • Experience in relation management systems (e.g., DonorPerfect or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship-building and donor care.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, purpose-driven team.
  • Willingness to attend evening/weekend events and travel within the Northwest Corridor as needed.
