Position Overview

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for leading the preparation of cost estimates and tenders for ICI construction projects. This is a key role that requires an individual with a solid background in ICI estimating, a hands-on approach, and the ability to collaborate across departments and project sites. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and strong communication skills to the table.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates and competitive bids for ICI construction projects (including new builds, fit-outs, and renovations)

  • Perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and budget development

  • Review drawings, specifications, and other project documentation

  • Coordinate and collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers

  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information for estimate development

  • Participate in tender closings and ensure all bid requirements are met

  • Maintain a database of pricing, subcontractors, and historical project costs

  • Provide input into value engineering and risk assessments

  • Support post-tender reviews and handovers to the project delivery team

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of estimating experience in ICI construction (institutional, commercial, or industrial projects)

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations

  • Proven ability to complete full-cycle tenders, quantity take-offs, and cost breakdowns

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar)

  • Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites as needed

  • A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred
