Our client, in the food wholesale and distribution industry is looking for an Inventory Accountant to join them on a 3-month contract. The role will be working onsite 5 days a week at their offices in Mississauga.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with procurement department and take ownership of Inventory in the warehouse to make sure that we are not in a stock out position
• Perpetual Inventory count of all major items and report the discrepancy to the Controller on a weekly basis
• Reconcile the inventory subledger account with the control account
• Identify the slow-moving items and report to Sales department about the slow-moving items.
• Document all the inventory adjustments in Sage 300 ERP system
• Analyze the variances between the physical count and book balances
