Role OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced Sales Accounting Clerk. As a Sales Accounting Clerk, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely posting of vehicle sales and related financial transactions. Working closely with our Sales and F&I departments, you will ensure all deal documentation is complete, compliant, and processed efficiently. Your contributions will play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of our dealership operations.Key Responsibilities
- Accurately post vehicle sales in the DMS and process deals promptly.
- Verify all components of vehicle deals, including sales contracts, rebates, incentives, and commissions.
- Collaborate with Sales and F&I teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare and submit monthly remittances for extended warranties and aftermarket products.
- Process and monitor floorplan and loan payments to ensure timely settlement.
- Post and reconcile manufacturer invoices.
- Review and maintain vehicle inventory schedules, ensuring accuracy and cleanliness.
- Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and generating deal-related reports.
What You Bring to the Role
- Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an automotive dealership setting.
- At least 2+ years of experience in deal posting in a car dealership environment.
- Proficiency in Excel with knowledge of basic formulas and functions (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF, and conditional formatting).
- Experience with Reynolds is a strong asset, but not required.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.
