The Strathcona Hotel and Entertainment Center is looking for a dynamic, hands-on and experienced individual to join our existing team

Qualifications:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of detail.
- Knowledge of local market trends and strong local connections.
- Serving It Right certification
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Minimum 5 years in Food & Beverage
- Experience in banquets & events preferred.

REQUIREMENTS
- •Answering calls and emails turning them into confirmed bookings.
- •Room set up for banquets, tables, chairs and AV equipment.
- •Assisting the Sales Manager in responding to rental inquiries
- •Arranging venue tours
- •Assessing technical needs for rental events
- •Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the quality and efficiency of events and identify areas for improvement.
- •Manage and resolve guest issues promptly and efficiently.
- •Develope and sustain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and key community partners.
- •Ensuring compliance with all regulations, liquor laws and bylaws.
- •Communicating with clients to ensure their event needs are met.
- •Managing and updating banquet event orders, contracts and invoices
- •Performing other duties as assigned
- •Completing banquet event orders and reviewing them with the food and beverage department to ensure all details are accurate and coordinated.
