Salary: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

We're looking for a reliable and proactive Facilities Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day coordination of building maintenance, vendor scheduling, and tenant support. This is a casual position with flexible hours ideal for someone looking to contribute meaningfully without the commitment of a fixed full-time schedule. The role may evolve into a part-time or full-time position depending on operational needs and mutual interest, however there are no guaranteed minimum hours at this time.

The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, resourceful, and comfortable working independently while keeping their manager informed. Youll play a key role in keeping everything running efficiently, from coordinating vendors and managing maintenance schedules to ensuring compliance and supporting onsite needs. WHAT YOULL DO

  • Liaise with the appropriate team members or service providers to monitor and ensure the timely resolution of building maintenance tickets.
  • Serve as the point of contact for contractors, tradespeople, and vendors to schedule and coordinate work as needed. Also, verify that work has been completed as agreed.
  • Shop for building-related supplies, tools, or materials as required.
  • Support and communicate with tenants, helping to address concerns and maintain positive relationships.
  • Maintain and update a regular building maintenance schedule to ensure preventative care and smooth operations.
  • Help ensure the building complies with relevant codes and regulations (occasional research may be required).
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for our on-site events centre.
  • Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work Environment:primarily office-based within our St Norbert location (may occasionally require onsite support for our satellite locations), with regular movement throughout the property, including mechanical rooms and outdoor areas. Occasionally exposed to noisy, dusty, or hazardous conditions during inspections or supervision of work.
  • Physical Requirements: may involve standing, walking, climbing ladders, and lifting equipment (under 50 lbs).
  • General Work Hours:Monday to Friday (8:30 AM5:00 PM), with occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends for emergencies or special projects. Hours will vary based on need and availability. This positiondoes not guarantee a set number of hours per week. Depending on organizational needs and the candidate's interest and performance, it may evolve into part-time or full-time hours.
  • On-Call:includes on-call responsibilities for after-hours maintenance issues.
  • Travel:minimal, but may be needed for off-site meetings, vendor visits, satellite office visits or supply runs.
