Parks Foundation is seeking an Administrative Assistant to complete accounting entries and provide general administrative support to the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process deposits and accounts receivable using accounting software (Sage)
  • Maintain and update donor and constituent records in the donation management system (eTapestry)
  • Reconcile, review, and update financial accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Organize and file accounting documents and program-related records
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of some post-secondary education (college or university) is considered an asset
  • Prior experience in an office setting, ideally in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative roles
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage) is preferred, but not required

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical and organizational skills
  • Comfortable performing administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and general office support
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) at an intermediate or higher level

Location and Work Hours:

  • 1520 hours per week, to be scheduled across 34 workdays
  • Some flexibility in daily start and end times, within regular business hours (Monday to Friday)
  • Availability on Wednesdays is preferred
  • This is an in-person role based at Parks Foundations office: Suite 302, 620 12th Avenue SW
