The Opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to be responsible for the regular operation repair and maintenance of the water distribution system.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform duties related to the effective operations repair and maintenance of InnServices water distribution system outside of all facilities
  • Coordinate with contractors and monitor new water main commissioning, review water main commissioning plans, install water meters, monitor new water main disinfection activities, and take water samples as required, exercise valves as part of the commissioning plan and witness and monitor new water mains tie-ins
  • Conducts utility locates as required, analyze data regarding excavation locations and construction prints and operate various electronic devices
  • Develops and implements distribution system maintenance strategies for valve exercising and hydrant maintenance and tagging
  • Collect and process both regulated and non-regulated samples from the existing distribution system as required

Qualifications & Core Capabilities:

  • Water Meter Installer license (governed by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities)
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience performing operational and maintenance duties in a water distribution system. Experience performing locating, marking, and mapping utility lines will be an asset.
  • MECPs Class 3 Water Distribution Certification
  • Valid Class G level driers license in good standing
