Summary:

Under direct supervision, the accounting clerk performs simple, repetitive tasks within general accounting and/or accounts receivable. This position may post journal entries, process AR invoices, verify information, prepare reports, and maintain files. Handles special projects, as assigned.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Process accounts receivable invoices utilizing Business Central.
  • Utilize customer portals to submit their invoices (SAP, Taulia, Open Invoice).
  • Work closely with team members within and outside of the department.
  • Assist in Audits providing requested information on a timely basis.
  • Support special projects when needed by management.
  • Support initiatives for process improvements.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed per accounting and SOX policies.
  • Support SOX testing initiatives.
  • Actively support FET and facility safety initiatives.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Good Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Prior experience processing entries through ERP's.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple activities and maintain deadlines while remaining organized.
  • Comfortable interfacing with various employees, customers and vendors daily.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Post secondary schooling within an accounting or related discipline is considered an asset.

Experience

  • 3+ years of general accounting clerk experience.
