Role Overview

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the Nurse Call Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, and servicing multiple healthcare technologies, including but not limited to nurse call systems.

**THIS IS NOT AN IT SUPPORT ROLE**

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain nurse call systems
  • Commission front-end workstations & servers
  • Ability to troubleshoot existing installations or utilize as-built drawings and documentation where available, to correct deficiencies and repair systems without supervision
  • Ensure customer requests and status are followed up on time and in a professional way
  • Perform all assigned preventative maintenance, repair and emergency service calls
  • Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with the company's team of managers, engineers, and technicians; the client; and consulting engineers
  • Effectively communicate with Management, Contractors, and Customers via email, phone and the online portal ticket system

Qualifications

  • Minimum of HS Diploma
  • Bachelors degree preferred, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent job-related knowledge
  • Must have a minimum 2 years of related experience in nurse call systems (experience delivering nurse call solutions)
  • Must be computer literate, have networking ability, and a good understanding of operating systems
  • System integration and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in system integration, network topology, and Virtual Environment.
  • Technical writing skills to support documentation of problem resolution / solution improvement
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred
