We are seeking a dynamic and self-driven Senior Analyst, Billing and Client Finance – Media to play a pivotal role in managing financial operations and client billing processes for our media projects. This is a hands-on role that requires ownership of end-to-end billing cycles, client finance relations, and system integration across platforms. You'll serve as the central hub for billing operations, stakeholder onboarding, and driving process creation in a fast-paced, evolving environment with no prior blueprint.

This role supports both the tactical and strategic elements of financial operations within a media context and will be instrumental in implementing a third-party media management platform, ensuring reconciliation with core financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming vendor bills and issue client invoices with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Interpret and apply Statements of Work (SOWs) to billing and AR processes.
  • Oversee the full Accounts Receivable (AR) lifecycle including follow-ups and reconciliations.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth billing operations and issue resolution.
  • Build and lead scalable financial processes—owning documentation, workflows, and training.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and guide them through newly created billing and reconciliation processes.
  • Support the implementation of third-party media platforms (e.g., Camphouse, Media Ocean, Bionic) ensuring financial data is synchronized across platforms.
  • Reconcile media project data between financial systems such as NetSuite, Kantata, and the media platforms.
  • Provide monthly reports on billing, WIP (Work in Progress), and project financial status.
  • Conduct variance analysis and flag financial risks or opportunities proactively.
  • Partner with media project managers to align budgets, forecasts, and actuals with strategic goals.
  • Support month-end close with appropriate reconciliations and financial accuracy.
  • Ensure readiness for audits and maintain accurate documentation of billing and AR processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, billing, or AR roles, ideally within a media or advertising environment.
  • Experience with media-specific financial platforms such as Camphouse, Media Ocean, and Bionic.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems and integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Kantata).
  • Demonstrated ability to create, implement, and manage financial processes from the ground up.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Comfortable guiding stakeholders at various levels and providing actionable financial insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in media finance or agency environments.
  • Background in systems training and onboarding stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project financials in media tech systems and their impact on P&L and reconciliations.

Key Traits for Success:

  • Proactive & Self-Directed: You jump in, figure out what needs to be done, and take initiative.
  • Collaborative Leader: You confidently lead stakeholders and act as the financial hub across departments.
  • Process-Oriented: You thrive on building structure and improving inefficiencies.
  • Detail-Focused: You catch what others miss—precision in numbers is your strength.
  • Tech-Savvy: You can troubleshoot and optimize integrations between media platforms and financial systems.

Annual salary range for this role: $75,000 - $85,000
