Landscape Maintenance Foreman

Garden City Tree & Landscape Ltd. is hiring a Landscape Maintenance Foreman to lead a landscape crew in maintaining high-quality residential and commercial landscapes. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone with strong horticultural knowledge, 5+ years of experience, and a drive to coach others and deliver outstanding service to our clients.

What Youll Do:

• Lead a crew of 13 team members on daily maintenance tasks.
• Perform pruning, mowing, edging, planting, weeding, and garden bed care.
• Plan and prioritize seasonal work for optimal plant health.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment.
• Use mobile apps to track time, materials, and equipment.
• Communicate with clients, report site issues, and ensure quality standards.
• Provide clients expert advice on plant care, aesthetics and other landscape services.
• Conduct safety talks and ensure proper use of tools and PPE.
• Assist with winter snow and ice control as needed.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in landscape maintenance and vegetation management
• Red seal horticulture is an asset.
• Strong plant ID, pruning techniques , and pest/disease knowledge.
• Leadership or crew lead experience.
• Class 5 Drivers License (required).
  
• Comfortable working outdoors, handling physical tasks and using ladders.
• Clear communicator and team motivator.
• BC Pesticide Applicator and First Aid tickets (an asset).

Compensation

$29-$35 per hour depending on skills and experience.

Schedule:

• Regular: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Seasonal Hours (May 12 to September 28, 2025):
  Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Work Location:
Different Greater Victoria work sites.
