We are seeking a motivated Field Safety Representative to support and enhance our Occupational Health & Safety Program and Fleet Division. This role is critical in fostering a strong safety culture across the company, supporting employees with training and compliance, conducting inspections, and ensuring COR standards are maintained. Fleet support responsibilities include tracking Hours of Service, managing service records, and relaying defects to maintenance.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport field staff with training, procedures, and safety guidance
Deliver health and safety training (e.g., Safety Orientation, WHMIS, CSTS, Ground Disturbance)
Conduct job hazard and physical demands analyses, and create safe work procedures
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and initiate corrective actions with managers
Monitor safety meetings and update staff on legislative/industry changes
Perform safety inspections, audits, and implement improvement action plans
Maintain safety records, documents, and statistical reports
Conduct shop, yard, and onsite safety inspections
Participate in weekly maintenance meetings
Monitor driver Hours of Service and compliance
Other duties as assigned
Must live in Winnipeg or surrounding area
Must have your own vehicle (no transit access to office)
Valid NCSO designation (required)
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, etc.)
Proficient in learning new apps and web-based platforms
Strong knowledge of COR requirements
Familiarity with heavy equipment is an asset
General knowledge of the heavy construction industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
