The Opportunity

Portland Tractor Inc. is looking for an experienced Parts Person to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As the Parts Person, you will be responsible for providing sales and technical support to our customers while overseeing the receiving and delivery of parts and accessories.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Parts Person your key responsibilities will include:

• Sell parts products and provide excellent service for customers
• Assist in keeping the Parts department clean and orderly
• Record all sales and/or customer transactions
• Provide accurate pricing and availability of parts for requested quotes
• Control inventory, inlcuding placing parts orders to ensure maximum sales and customer satisfaction
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks
• Follow prescribed cash, credit, and cheque processing procedures
• Process warranties and new return merchandise
• Use company equipment and resources safely
• Follow up on product shortages

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

• Minimum two years of prior experience in a comparable parts role is required
• Journeyman parts person or apprentice parts person certification is an asset
• Strong organizational skills
• Good verbal communication skills and listening skills
• A customer service mindset and the ability to understand and meet customer needs
• Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Word, Excel & Outlook

The base pay range for this role is: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This is an onsite role based in Edmonton, AB.
