HR & Admin Officer Hart Pump (Toronto)

The HR & Admin Officer is a multifunctional role responsible for providing administrative support, managing HR functions, and ensuring regulatory and operational compliance. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and has a strong understanding of HR practices and Ontario regulations.

Hart Pump provides pump solutions to high-rise buildings in Toronto, working closely with leading property managers and mechanical contractors. Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support
  • Manage office supplies, mail, filing, and general upkeep of office organization

Human Resources

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and exit procedures
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
  • Support employee relations and assist with policy development and enforcement
  • Monitor attendance, vacation, and other leave records
  • Ensure compliance with the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and internal HR policies

Compliance

  • Ensure the company is compliant with health and safety regulations, including WSIB and OSHA requirements
  • Monitor and report on regulatory compliance across operations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and industry standards
  • Support internal audits and help implement corrective actions as needed
  • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and internal communications
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare various administrative reports

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 23 years of experience in an HR, administrative, or compliance role
  • Strong understanding of Ontario employment legislation and workplace compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with an HR software.
