Job DescriptionReporting to the Senior Associate Director, Payroll, you will be responsible for payroll across Canada and Cayman and backup responsibilities for EMEA and/or APAC payroll processing. This role will also have the opportunity to assist other teams within the Finance Department and Human Resources Departments at MUFG.

- Ensure full-cycle payroll processing for Canada on a semi-monthly basis following Government Legislation and Company Policy
- Ensure full-cycle payroll processing for Cayman on a monthly basis following Government Legislation and Company Policy
- Prepare and reconcile month end journal entries
- Complete Canadian Year-End processing - including T4s and T2200s
- Prepare and remit Payroll taxes and other relevant remittances
- Prepare and remit multiple Pension contributions
- Ensure that all government remittances and other payments are processed
- Provide outstanding customer service to all employees and partners
- Relevant College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Have or be working towards a Payroll designation (National Payroll Institute)
- Minimum of 2 years payroll experience
- Knowledge of payroll legislation and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
