About the Role
Reporting to a senior finance leader, the Senior Manager will take full ownership of corporate financial reporting, including oversight of month-end close, annual budgets, and tax compliance. The role involves coordination with external partners, mentoring junior team members, and supporting decision-making across multiple business units.
What You'll Do
- Oversee monthly close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Lead corporate tax filings and serve as main liaison with external tax advisors and auditors
- Manage cash operations, payroll processing, and investment fund accounting
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic goals
- Implement improvements to accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
- Review tax returns and ensure compliance across all legal entities
- Provide analytical support for executive decision-making and ad hoc financial projects
- Manage and develop junior staff within the accounting team
- CPA designation required
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in a leadership capacity
- Background in corporate accounting, with exposure to tax planning and compliance
- Proficiency in Excel and general ledger/reporting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities with confidence
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, self-starting attitude
- Experience in real estate, investment, or asset-heavy industries is an asset
