The IT Manager is the operations and infrastructure leader responsible for managing and modernizing the company's technology environment across its four manufacturing locations. This role leads the IT team in deploying and securing scalable infrastructure through a hybrid cloud model. A critical part of this role includes preparing the organization for future, ensuring long-term system availability and business continuity.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the IT infrastructure and support team, creating a culture of operational excellence and service reliability. Under your leadership your team will:
· Design and maintain a hybrid infrastructure model leveraging future ready architecture (IaaS, networking, backups, identity services) for scalability and resiliency.
· Secure and manage the organization's digital workplace environment, including identity management, device administration, communication platforms, and cloud-based collaboration tools.
· Direct the deployment, integration, and support of a modern ERP platform to enhance manufacturing and business operations.
· Manage and optimize MDR capabilities across endpoints, identities, and cloud environments.
· Plan, implement, and maintain a secondary datacenter replication strategy using Azure Site Recovery or other suitable technologies to ensure disaster recovery and business continuity.
· Lead technology initiatives including system upgrades, cloud migrations, ERP integrations, and site expansions.
· Oversee availability, performance, and scalability of on-premises and cloud-hosted systems, including servers, storage, and networking infrastructure.
· Create and enforce cybersecurity, compliance, and IT governance policies.
· Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement through technology.
· Manage lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, and decommissioning.
· Maintain system documentation, procedures, change control, and support records.
Physical Demands:
In office primarily. Outside office in manufacturing facilities and surrounding area. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
· 10+ years of progressive IT experience with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing infrastructure and security.
· Hands-on experience managing cloud-based and hybrid IT infrastructures.
· Extensive experience in administering and securing enterprise productivity and collaboration platforms.
· Exposure to ERP platforms (e.g., IndustiOS, Infor, Epicor) in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
· Practical knowledge of endpoint security solutions and managed detection and response (MDR) capabilities.
· Experience with datacenter replication, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity strategies.
· Strong background in networking, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), Server, and endpoint management.
· Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
