THE OPPORTUNITY
Looking for a role doing what you love at a dynamic and innovative consulting firm? We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join our team in either Kelowna or Vancouver, BC, on a permanent full-time basis. This position offers the chance to lead the health and safety portfolio across a growing multidisciplinary company while supporting our commitment to the well-being of our people and the communities we serve.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and oversee the implementation and continual improvement of Ecora's Health & Safety Program.
Develop and deliver training, audits, and safety communications aligned with regulatory compliance and best practices.
Serve as the internal expert and advisor on occupational health and safety matters.
Champion a proactive safety culture that reflects Ecora's values and Corporate Social Responsibility Principles (CSRP).
Conduct incident investigations, hazard assessments, and workplace inspections.
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and provincial legislation.
Monitor, analyze, and report on H&S metrics, trends, and performance.
Liaise with regulatory agencies, clients, and internal teams to manage safety risks across offices and project sites.
Support project teams in planning and executing safe field operations.
Contribute to proposals and corporate initiatives related to risk management and workplace well-being.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in health and safety leadership, ideally within consulting, construction, or resource industries.
CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) designation is required.
Strong knowledge of BC and Canadian health and safety legislation.
Proven ability to lead organizational change and build safety culture across multi-office environments.
Exceptional communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital H&S tools/platforms.
Valid Class 5 driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
