Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager will support the development and execution of positioning, messaging, and GTM strategies for Equinix colocation services. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a product marketer seeking to expand their domain expertise in data center services while contributing meaningfully to cross-functional programs, content development, and sales enablement. The ideal candidate combines curiosity, strong communication skills, and a knack for simplifying complex topics. This role will also help shape the positioning of Equinix colocation as a foundation for AI-ready infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Create and evolve messaging, positioning, and value propositions for Equinix colocation services

  • Help articulate the role of colocation in enabling AI infrastructure, edge deployments, and cloud-adjacent architectures

  • Assist in planning and executing product launches, ensuring alignment with campaign teams and sales readiness

  • Collaborate with Product Management to understand roadmaps and shape external communications

  • Create and maintain marketing assets including product briefs, battlecards, web copy, and sales presentations

  • Incorporate differentiated cross-sell and upsell capabilities into messaging frameworks

  • Conduct competitive and market research to support positioning and strategy

  • Enable internal and external stakeholders with tools and training

  • Partner across teams (campaigns, field marketing, analyst relations) to support integrated GTM efforts

  • Content Creation: Proven ability to create or support the development of effective product marketing content

  • Initiative & Follow-Through: Ability to manage tasks independently and drive programs to completion

Specific Skills

  • Content Development: Comfortable creating messaging frameworks, sales collateral, and internal resources

  • Research & Insight: Able to conduct and synthesize basic market research and competitive analysis

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to B2B audiences

  • Marketing Tools: Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, Seismic, or similar content platforms

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field

  • 5–8 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or related roles in the tech industry

  • Experience or strong interest in colocation, data center services, or cloud infrastructure preferred

Domain Expertise

  • Colocation & Data Center Services: Familiarity with power, cooling, physical space, SLAs, interconnection, and differentiators like SmartBuild and SmartHands

  • AI-Ready Infrastructure: Understanding of how colocation supports high-density compute, accelerated workloads, and scalable AI deployments

  • Platform Thinking: Insight into how colocation integrates with broader hybrid and multicloud infrastructure and enables location-agnostic architectures

  • Industry Awareness: Appreciation for trends in sustainability, digital transformation, edge computing, and workload placement strategies
