Plan Group Inc. is looking for an experienced Director to join our Technology business unit to support our integration and IoT initiatives. You'll excel in strategic thinking and have a proven track record in delivering customer-centric results, with a focus on collaborative communication. Comfortable in fast-paced settings, you'll multitask, prioritize, and lead technology driven solutions. Strong leadership skills and decisive decision-making are essential.
This Director communicates with internal and external stakeholders, further developing client relationships, and supporting overall business unit growth. They'll establish a rapport with clients and promote Plan Group's solutions.
As a Director, IoT and Smart Systems, you will:
Sales
Maintain regular client communication to ensure satisfaction and provide project updates.
Promote brand awareness through conventions, trade shows, and public relations.
Stay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization.
Maintain accuracy in CRM to support timely client engagement.
Work collaboratively with the Equans Digital Canada and Global teams.
Coordinate efforts and support for the Business Development teams.
Work closely with the internal Technology team to align with national strategy
Engineering
Design and implement new technology solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current technology solutions for clients.
Oversee estimates, procurement and vendor partnerships with regards to specific technologies
Determine the integration requirements to enable integration and interoperability
Participate in R&D activities and stay current with the latest technologies
Delivery
Lead and manage the delivery of all technology engagements in the region
Manage and mentor teams responsible for delivering technology solutions
Liaison with customers and vendors on project governance and contract administration.
Work closely with the Financial Controller for accurate forecasting.
Oversee the creation and delivery of Solution Briefs, Solution Design, Functional Specification, Testing & Commissioning and As-Built documentation
Lead the monitoring, support and maintenance of IoT platforms, building systems, and integrated technologies
Our ideal candidate has:
A minimum of 7 + years of practical experience in both design/implementation of ICAT systems and system integration
Post-Secondary Degree in Building Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Proven deployments in Smart Buildings or Smart Hospitals, either in new construction or retro-fit projects
Understanding of IP converged networks to allow for data exchange between systems to support integration requirements
Understanding of cloud-based solutions such as Azure, AWS and Google Cloud Platform to enable cloud hosted solutions
Ability to clearly articulate the needs of technology and break it down into schedule, cost, and quality impacts to better translate to our construction teams
Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
Willingness to travel
