We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our team. This position will report directly to the President of RNF Pet Products Inc.
Please note that this role is based in Concord, Ontario, and a relocation to Rexdale is planned for September 2025.
We offer a hybrid work model with a minimum 3 days in-office, with travel perks for committing to 5-days/week in office.
As the Senior Finance Manager, you will oversee core finance functions and drive our financial strategy forward. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented finance leader who excels at optimizing financial processes and contributing to organizational growth.

Compensation:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($130,000 - $145,000 per annum)

Key Areas of Responsibility:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to support data-driven decisions
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into business performance
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts in coordination with department heads
- Assist the President in long-term financial planning and scenario modelling
Cost Accounting & Inventory
- Oversee costing processes for raw materials, production, and finished goods
- Maintain inventory valuations and monitor production variances
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization in the manufacturing process
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Ensure strong financial controls are in place and processes align with best practices
- Coordinate with external accountants for audit and tax filings
- Ensure and maintain compliance with Canadian GAAP and CRA regulations, including accurate and timely financial reporting
Team Management & Cross-Functional Support
- Supervise and mentor junior finance team members
- Collaborate with leadership across the organization to align financial and business goals
- Support systems improvements and ERP enhancements
Qualifications:
- A bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- A CPA designation is highly desirable
- A minimum of five to eight years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, food production, or consumer goods
- Experience working in a growing or entrepreneurial company is highly desirable
- Experience in preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial reports, with a focus on variance analysis and actionable insights
- Proven ability to lead budgeting processes and develop accurate rolling forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, including product cost modelling, cost structure management, and variance analysis
- Expertise in managing cash flow, optimizing working capital, and ensuring liquidity through effective forecasting and risk management
- Skilled in identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business performance and decision-making
- Experience in implementing internal controls, ensuring compliance, and managing audit processes to maintain financial integrity
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management, product cost analysis, and margin optimization to improve profitability
- Proficiency in scenario modelling and financial planning to assess risks, guide decision-making, and support business growth
- Experience in driving financial process improvements and optimizing financial systems to increase operational efficiency
- Proficiency with SAP is a must-have
- Previous experience with other financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems)
- Advanced MS Office skills (advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large data setsare a must-have)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Strong leadership and effective people management capabilities; supportive of team development through coaching, mentoring, and creating growth opportunities
- Self-motivated and possessing a strong work ethic, with a commitment to professional growth
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines
