Your Role:

The Infrastructure Construction Survey Manager has the mandate to ensure that all construction surveys are completed efficiently and in accordance with IBW policies and prescribed regulations. The Infrastructure Construction Survey Manager will establish best practices and consistent training for all construction survey work at IBW and will lead the Construction Team to efficient and quality production.

Ultimately, the role of the Infrastructure Construction Survey Manager will elevate and enhance the skill level of the entire Construction Team, providing opportunities for growth and development for the entire Team.

Your Responsibilities

• Responsible for defining metrics for the purposes of evaluating the Construction Team
• Responsible for the development of new strategies and techniques to create more team efficiency while maintaining quality
• Responsible for the oversight of the overall construction schedule
• Responsible for making decisions regarding cancellations due to inclement weather, etc
• Responsible for making sure that the Construction Team has clear, 2-way communication with all production teams and for all teams with connecting responsibilities
• Responsible for making sure that the Construction Team has clear direction and support for all scheduled actions, including: technical, processes, equipment, personnel, training, strategies etc.
• Responsible for staffing the Construction team with members who are a Core Values fit
• Reporting Manager for all members of the Construction Team
• Lead regular bi-weekly team meetings for the development of the team
• Responsible for field tools, equipment and vehicle purchases to ensure that all construction staff have the tools required to complete their work efficiently
• Responsible for ensuring that all construction tools, equipment and vehicles are utilized to their maximum potential and in good repair
• Must ensure that review of all construction assignments are completed to ensure they are properly prepared and the scope of work is clear for the construction team
• Must ensure that all construction work is performed safely and in compliance with IBW's Health & Safety Program.
• Must ensure that all files are correctly prepared for successful field completion, including a clear understanding of the scope of work and that all required documentation is available prior to fieldwork
• Develop best practices, including developing and improving the construction survey workflow through Research & Development initiatives.
• Ensure the construction survey workflow processes are defined and clearly implemented to help streamline Construction Team efficiencies
• Identify areas of the Construction Team's strengths and weaknesses, resulting in recommended training topics and courses.
• Other duties as required.
