- Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Remove, repair, or replace damaged body parts, including panels, fenders, bumpers and frames.
- Use frame straightening and welding equipment as needed.
- Grind, sand, fill, and smooth repaired surfaces to ensure proper contour and fit.
- Reassemble vehicles after repair and ensure proper fit and function of parts.
- Work closely with estimators and painters to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow manufacturer and industry repair standards and safety guidelines.
- Document all work performed and communicate with team members as needed.
- Journeyman/Red Seal Certification.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in autobody repair.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, welding equipment, and repair systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to read repair estimates and follow OEM repair procedures.
- Valid driver's license (Alberta Class 5) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy parts and stand for extended periods.
- This role involves working in a repair shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, paint, and chemicals.
- Proper use of PPE is required.
