The Opportunity

Prosperity Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced and compassionate Executive Director to lead the operations of a long-term care residence in Mississauga. This is a full-time, permanent role offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a senior leadership position within the healthcare sector.

The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall management of the residence, including resident care and services, staff leadership, regulatory compliance, environmental safety, and fiscal performance. The ideal candidate will be a strong, resident-focused leader with a proven ability to manage complex healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a Resident-Centered Care philosophy to ensure programs and services are aligned with the highest quality of life for residents.
  • Ensure a safe, compliant, and supportive environment for residents, staff, and visitors through strong procedural and operational oversight.
  • Oversee efficient systems for resident admissions and discharges, liaising effectively with families, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for resident and family concerns, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
  • Provide leadership to departmental managers and staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Manage budgetary planning and monitor financial performance to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, standards, and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in health or social services (minimum 2-year program).
  • Completion of, or enrollment in, a Long-Term Care Administration/Management Program (minimum 100 hours of instruction).
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the health or social services sector.
  • Previous experience in long-term care or senior living environments is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of provincial regulations and standards in long-term care.
