Location: Lethbridge, Alberta

Duration: 7 - 8 months (2024-2025 season)

Pay Rate: $21/hr+4% vacation pay

Seed Processing Operators Position Areas:

• Seed Cleaning
• Seed Treating & Packaging
• Warehouse Operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Work within a team to ensure efficient, effective, and safe operation of equipment for cleaning, treating, packaging, and shipping canola seed.
• Report to the Department Supervisor and maintain a collaborative team environment.
• Apply mechanical aptitude and experience from processing or manufacturing facilities to your daily tasks.

Qualifications:

• Education: Grade 12 Diploma is required.
• Experience: Prior experience in a production environment is an asset; fork lift and SAP software experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Skills: Mechanically inclined. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, and punctual.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to handle loads up to 30kg. Comfortable working at heights and in ambient temperature environments. Willingness to wear a dust mask as needed.

Additional Information:

• Shift Work: This position might require participation in a shift rotation and availability to work various shift schedules (24-hour operations) and overtime during peak periods.
• Transportation: Own meaning of transportation is required as the site is not accessible by Lethbridge Transit.
• Background Check: Successful applicants will be required to complete a criminal background check and provide work references.
