Your Role: Strategic Growth Champion
As Manager, Business Development, you will be at the forefront of expanding market share, nurturing high-value relationships, and building new business pipelines. You'll be expected to bring both strategic insight and hands-on hustle to generate demand, respond to bids, and shape solutions that resonate with clients.
You'll work closely with leadership and operations teams to translate opportunity into actionand business into long-term client success.
What You'll Do
- Lead business development efforts in Greater Vancouver, identifying and securing new contracts in commercial janitorial services.
- Maintain and grow strong relationships with existing accounts, ensuring consistent delivery and high satisfaction.
- Develop market-specific strategies based on data, trends, and competitor intelligence.
- Respond to public and private RFPs, craft customized proposals, and manage bid follow-ups.
- Lead contract negotiations and onboarding processes for new clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless transitions from sale to service.
- Mentor junior sales team members, sharing knowledge and fostering performance.
- Provide regular reporting on sales activity, performance metrics, and market dynamics.
- Champion a positive, high-performance culture within the business development team.
What You Bring
- Industry Experience: 5+ years in business development or account management within the commercial janitorial/cleaning industry.
- Vancouver-Based: Strong familiarity with the local market and a preference for someone well-networked in the region.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (Pipedrive and ZoomInfo experience a plus).
- Results-Oriented: A self-starter with a track record of exceeding sales targets and cultivating strategic partnerships.
- Relationship-Driven: A natural connector with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Detail-Focused: Proven ability to produce accurate, high-quality proposals and contracts.
- Mobile: Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for in-person meetings across the Lower Mainland.
