We are currently seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team and support vehicle restoration after accidents and collisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of automotive repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance tasks on vehicles that have been involved in collisions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical repairs related to collision damage, including suspension, steering, cooling, brake, and engine components.
- Diagnose and repair drivability and safety systems issues resulting from vehicle impacts.
- Assist in pre-repair and post-repair inspections to identify mechanical concerns and ensure repair quality.
- Operate diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to assess and complete mechanical work.
- Collaborate with body technicians and estimators to ensure accurate repair plans.
- Repair and replace damaged parts and components on vehicles.
- Maintain clear documentation of repairs performed and parts used.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
- Stay up to date on modern vehicle systems, manufacturer specifications, and collision repair methods.
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Automotive Service Technician certification in Alberta (Journeyman or Red Seal).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a collision center or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must have a valid work status in Canada and can work for any employer.
