The Communications pillar within the Donor Experience & Communications team is responsible for delivering marketing services across the Foundation and raising awareness of and amplifying the Foundation's impact by sharing powerful storytelling. They are responsible for creating, evolving and implementing the Foundation's content strategy, as well as delivering a cohesive narrative across channels including crafting strategic written materials that support fundraising efforts and enhance the Foundation's reputation by showcasing impact.

The Coordinator, Communications reports to the Vice President, Donor Experience & Communications and supports the Communications team with triaging marketing services and communications requests for teams across the Foundation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • With the Senior Project Manager, Communications, support the intake and workflow of Marketing Service projects and maintain and update monday.com project boards
  • Coordinate meetings, create agendas and support with logistics when required for briefing meetings for Marketing Services and Communications projects
  • Support the maintenance of the editorial calendar
  • Copy development and editing on small projects
  • Support the Director, Brand Voice with monthly reporting for newsletters, video performance and other content as required
  • Support with planning for photography and video shoots, including scheduling subjects, booking locations and liaising with vendors as required
  • Information gathering from Sinai Health to support cases, infographics and other content needs that support our fundraising priorities
  • Upload content to the Foundation website and maintain Stories/Your Impact sections, supporting the Director, Brand Voice to ensure content is refreshed
  • Support with patient ambassador program management, including ambassador intake and tracking of participants in Raiser's Edge
  • Administrative support of digital donor wall content
  • Help triage media requests and compile media clippings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall goals of the Donor Experience & Communications teams.

Position Requirements:

  • More than one (1) year of related experience in communications and/or marketing
  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree or college diploma from an accredited educational institution. Proven equivalent and recent related education, training and experience may be considered
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with project management and familiarity with project management tools such as monday.com is an asset
  • Experience working within a database or CRM; Raiser's Edge is an asset
  • Strong communication skills, both with external partners and internal cross-functional team members
  • Ability to prioritize projects and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

This role has been evaluated with a salary range of $54,403 to $68,004. The hiring range is $54,403 to $58,936.

Sinai Health Foundation is a hybrid workplace, located in downtown Toronto. Currently, all employees are in-office on Tuesdays for the Foundation's “anchor day”, as well as approximately 24 additional in-person corporate meetings, events or activities annually. Additional in-person requirements vary by team and job function. Our Workplace Flexibility policy is reviewed on a bi-annual basis to ensure the current state of hybrid work is meeting our organizational needs.
