POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Assembly Manager, the Kitting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing kitting operations within the supply chain. The responsibilities include managing a team of technicians, coordinating kitting activities, and ensuring timely delivery of components to assembly lines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist team members in using specific tools/equipment to load and * unload product for shipments.
Forecast workforce requirements based on daily workload and company goals.
Distribute production materials to designate locations on assembly lines observing the first-in-first-out (FIFO) inventory control practice.
Exercise operator safety, maintenance, housekeeping practices, quality control and extremely critical importance of PPE.
Kitting Supervisor in the supply chain, key skills are crucial to ensuring smooth operations and efficient assembly processes.
Strong leadership abilities are essential for overseeing and managing a team of kitting technicians, ensuring they adhere to production schedules and quality standards.
Exceptional organizational skills are necessary to coordinate kitting activities, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of components to assembly lines.
Attention to detail is vital for accurately tracking materials and maintaining inventory records.
Effective communication skills are also essential for liaising with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and logistics, to address any issues and optimize kitting processes.
Additionally, problem-solving skills are valuable for identifying and resolving any challenges that may arise during kitting operations, ensuring seamless production flow and on-time delivery of finished goods.
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the production activities.
Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments.
Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
Requisition of materials and supplies
Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
Recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions.
Prepare production and other reports.
May set up machines and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree
Experience:
Forklift License
Prior experience as a supervisor
Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple tasks.
Three years of office experience or related experience.
Excellent analytical skills, and passion to learn new things to improve.
Results-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic
Excellent communicator, and able to build strong cross-functional relationships, internally and externally.
Ability to manage your time and deadlines, the ability to adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the market situation.
