Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and procedures using high-frequency sound waves to visualize internal organs, tissues, and blood flow, supporting physicians in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the motion, shape, and composition of internal body structures.

• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions.

• Position patients and select appropriate transducer and settings for optimal image quality.

• Analyze sonographic findings and provide preliminary reports to the interpreting physician.

• Maintain patient records and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.

• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions.

• Comply with safety procedures and infection control protocols.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.

• Current ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification.

• State licensure (if applicable).

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

• 1-2 years of experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered.

• Excellent patient care and communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
