Are you a dynamic leader who thrives in a collaborative, value-driven environment? Do you have a knack for creating seamless processes and building strong teams that deliver exceptional results? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

As we approach 25 years in business, Fortress Roofing & Exteriors is entering a new chapter – one where culture, systems, and execution align more closely with our core values and vision for the future. We have grown significantly over the past five years, and now we're focusing on running smarter, stabilizing operations, clarifying responsibilities, and refining how we work together as a team.

We're hiring a Senior Operations Manager/Integrator to help lead this work. This is a key management position, not a supporting role. You'll be responsible for day-to-day execution across departments, supporting the development and rollout of new systems, and helping to re-establish operational clarity during a season of active transition.

Who We Are

Fortress is a leading exterior contracting business serving Calgary and surrounding areas. We offer a range of residential and commercial services including roofing, siding, soft metals, insurance restoration, windows and doors. What defines us isn't the work we do - it's the way we show up to do it, guided by a clear set of core values. If these resonate, you may be a great addition to the team:

  • People First, Always: Relationships and family matter more than the bottom line.
  • Integrity in Every Action: We do what we say we're going to do, and if we fall short, we take accountability and work hard to resolve every issue.
  • The Pursuit of Excellence: We set the bar high and refuse to settle for ‘good enough'.
  • Teachability and Teamwork: We value humility, coachability, and collaboration.
  • Stewardship and Pride: We believe in using our time, talent, and profits to make a meaningful difference in our work and community.

About the Role

This is a hands-on operational leadership/management role. You'll begin by working in close collaboration with our company owner, Nicole, to learn the business, build relationships with the team, and co-lead the structured development / rollout of EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System). More importantly, you'll help to create the conditions for better accountability, communication, and execution across departments.

As you gain traction, you'll transition into full oversight of day-to-day operations. Your mandate is to ensure departments are aligned, workflows are functional, teams are accountable, and leaders have what they need to perform. The goal isn't to create rigid systems, it's to support operations with structure that is strong, efficient and adaptable in order to bring focus, calm and operational excellence to a team that is ready to level up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the leadership team to implement EOS principles, tools, and rhythms
  • Manage and optimize operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with company goals
  • Lead and support the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth
  • Develop clear roles and systems to streamline workflows and enhance productivity
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality to deliver outstanding customer results
  • Act as a liaison between departments, ensuring clear communication and shared vision.

What We're Looking For:

  • A natural leader with 8-15+ years in operational leadership (Integrator, GM, or equivalent)
  • Experience in construction, trades, or a field-based business environment
  • Familiarity with EOS (Traction) or a similar structured operating framework
  • A steady leadership presence - you can keep things moving without micromanaging
  • Strong communication and systems thinking - you bring clarity where there's confusion
  • Comfort working in a company that's in transition (which can be chaotic at times)
  • You see the forest and the trees – you are used to zooming in on the details without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Values-first mindset - you care about how the work gets done, not just that it gets done.
  • You are a teachable and self-aware professional eager to learn and grow.
  • Ninja problem-solving skills - you can adapt to challenges with confidence and creativity.
  • You think big and aren't afraid to take risks, challenge assumptions or rock the boat when it may be necessary.

Compensation & Details

  • Base Salary: 90-150k Based on experience and suitability for the role
  • Bonus: Performance-based, tied to clear operational outcomes and leadership team goals
  • Health Benefits: We offer a comprehensive health spending account
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (on-site in Calgary)
  • Hiring Process: Final-stage candidates will complete a Kolbe A™ profile to support role alignment. If you already have one, please include with your application.
