We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join Black & McDonald's Corporate Procurement Services team to support the Facilities Management & Operations division. In this role, you will be responsible for the contract lifecycle management process, providing proactive, methodical management of various agreements with suppliers from sourcing through award, execution and contract closure.

Responsibilities

  • All RFx activity from planning, sourcing, bid package preparation and issuance.
  • Supplier proposal evaluation and negotiation
  • Put suppliers under contract using Black & McDonald's established agreement forms.
  • Create Procurement Plans and Procurement Policy Manuals.
  • Support the project as required with supplier performance management, cost, and schedule.
  • New supplier onboarding and prequalification.
  • Report and attend Project status/Proposal prep meetings, as applicable/required.
  • Proactively build strong/trusted relationships with suppliers and cross functional team members.

Job Requirements (experience/skills):

  • Minimum 5 years Contract Management experience, with proven ability to manage service contractors type agreements from inception to completion.
  • Experience in Indigenous engagement.
  • A post-secondary degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing subcontracts under government projects.
  • Understanding of third-party selection and onboarding processes.
  • Basic knowledge of project management, including financial and risk management.
  • Awareness of import/ export legislation, Incoterms and customs rules is an asset.
  • Communicate effectively and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
  • Sense of urgency with the ability to respond to rapidly changing priorities in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to follow through and deliver results.
