Recreational Therapist required for Seniors' Living Facility.

About the position:

• This is a casual position offering full-time hours.
• Availability to work must include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• The end date for this position is August 31, 2025

Our Recreational Therapists are responsible for the following:

• Help to coordinate, plan, and implement programs and recreation-based treatment activities for SL4/SL4D senior residents based on their needs.
• Leading, motivating, and assuming responsibility for residents in a variety of individual and group therapy programs, both in the facility and in the community.
• Consulting with the Manager in the selection of activities most appropriate to meet the residents' needs and abilities, based on individual care plans.
• Recording statistics regarding residents' progress and in ensuring the proper paperwork is completed for residents' projects and outings.

What will be required for the position:

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering data.
• Degree in Therapeutic Recreation
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a related recreational field preferred.
• Current and ongoing satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
• Valid Class 4 driver's license.
• Current satisfactory driver's abstract
• Current claims experience letter
• Emergency First Aid
