Reporting to both the Manager, Corporate Planning and the Manager, Corporate Tax, the Senior Tax Analyst will focus on Canadian corporate income tax compliance for a group of private entities. This role offers exposure to tax compliance, provisions, planning, research, and M&A support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file various tax returns and forms: T2, T3, T4A, T4A-NR, T5, T5013, T5018, T106, T1134, T1135, T2054, T2057, etc.
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end tax provisions
  • Manage installment and final tax payments, as well as dividend payments
  • Conduct technical tax research and analysis on planning and compliance issues
  • Liaise with external tax advisors and government tax authorities
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and contribute to M&A tax support
  • Stay informed on legislation, case law, and CRA interpretations and apply relevant changes to internal processes

  • 2–3+ years of senior tax analyst experience at a Big 4 or mid-sized public accounting firm, ideally with exposure to private company clients; OR extensive experience at a small public firm
  • Enrolled in or completed the CPA Canada designation (required)
  • Enrolled in or completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course (preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge in Canadian corporate tax
  • Proficiency with TaxPrep software
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
