Job Summary

The Intermediate Hardware Test and Verification Analyst extensively tests and evaluates all Delta Intelligent Building Technologies (Canada) Inc. products before release to ensure that the products meet design specifications, meet quality standards, and are suitable for their intended applications.

In addition to product testing, the Intermediate Hardware Test and Verification Analyst is responsible for the creation and maintenance of test cases, as well as the creation and maintenance of test plans.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing training and guidance to other members of the team.
  • Creation and maintenance of test plans for the validation of new products.
  • Creation and maintenance of product-specific and generic test cases.
  • Ensuring all quality checklists, procedures, and requirements are adhered to for all assignments.
  • Creating associated script files and test programs to exercise hardware during testing.
  • Designing, building, and documenting any setups necessary to facilitate product testing, test results and findings
  • Participating in and assisting with the scheduling of necessary resources for product testing
  • Working with the Compliance Engineer to schedule, arrange, and execute testing at external laboratories for UL, CE, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Participating in product failure investigations and Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations

Authority

  • To revise test procedures in the course of their duties.
  • To initiate action to prevent problems with product.

Job Requirements

  • Proficient in testing electronics products according to documented guidelines or verbal direction to scheduled deadlines and determined priorities.
  • Self-motivated and able to effectively manage priorities and tasks.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of testing methods and procedures.
  • Well-developed troubleshooting and solution-finding skills.
  • Willingness to learn about both hardware and software.
  • Customer-centric approach to tasks.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a robotics, telecom, or other applicable electronics diploma educational program
  • At least 2 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Good grasp of electronics concepts and hands-on experience with using test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.
  • Familiarity with C, C++, Python, BASIC, or other similar programming languages
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook

Work Location: On-site (5 days a week)

Salary: 55,000 - 80,000 CAD
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
