Logistics Specialist – 20-Month Contract

$65,000 – $75,000 Ready to take ownership of a fast-paced logistics role in a manufacturing setting? We're hiring a Logistics Specialist for a 20-month maternity leave contract. If you're a proactive problem-solver with deep knowledge of U.S. exports, customs, and freight coordination—this role is for you.What You'll Do:

• Coordinate shipments, bookings, and trucking arrangements
• Track incoming/outgoing freight and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare shipping documents (BOLs, customs paperwork, invoices)
• Handle returns (customer & vendor) and provide freight quotes
• Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues
• Support customs broker processes, including tariff code declarations

What You Bring:

• 5 or more years of logistics experience (manufacturing preferred)
• Strong U.S. export knowledge — brokers, tariffs, codes (a must)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and shipping platforms
• Skilled in freight quoting, rate negotiation, and discrepancy resolution
• Detail-oriented with a clear understanding of customs requirements

Role Details:

• Schedule: Day shift with ½ day Friday's
• Location: On-site, Concord
• Team: Collaborate closely with logistics, shipping, and purchasing (5–6 people)
• Reports to: Logistics Manager
