Opportunity:

JAPA Equipment Rentals Acheson is looking for a Shop Laborer. The Shop Laborer is responsible for providing general shop duties and having a positive attitude in their day to day work.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Assist mechanics as needed.
• Daily shop cleanup and housekeeping.
• Washing and fueling equipment
• Use basic hand and power tools.
• Shipping, receiving and parts running
• Staging equipment
• Assisting any departments as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by Shop Lead.

Candidate Requirements:

• Interest in mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with gas engines and hydraulic systems would be an asset, but not required.
• Previous experience working in a shop environment.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• High School Diploma, or GED equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment with guidance from supervisor.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks and show initiative to be self- sufficient as needed.
• Physical effort to move objects and tools that may weigh up to 50 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling
