The OpportunityThis Medical Assistant role is ideal for recent post-secondary graduates or those with strong customer service backgrounds seeking meaningful experience in healthcare and leadership. You'll begin as a Medical Assistant and, then after a successful probationary period, transition into a Supervisor role overseeing day-to-day clinic activities and staff support.
Compensation
Base rate of $17.20 per hour during the Medical Assistant phase. After successful training and promotion to Supervisor, compensation increases to $19.00 per hour, then $20.20 per hour following three months in the official Supervisor role.

What You'll Do:Phase 1: Medical Assistant:
- Proper registration of patients administratively (e.g., reception, scheduling, collecting payments).
- Proper preparation of patients clinically (e.g., hosting patients in the exam room and performing triage).
- Appropriate application of scripts, scenarios, and clinical skills.
- Appropriate use of our Electronic Medical Record system (EMR Advantage).
- Ensure consistent inventory levels through the daily stocking of exam rooms and other areas of the clinic.
- Maintain a clean and quiet environment by cleaning/sanitizing exam rooms, foyers, and bathrooms.
- Proper opening and/or closing procedures of the clinic.
- Record and document management, along with other administrative duties as assigned.
- Opportunity to train in one or more specialty programs (e.g., Travel Medicine, Allergy Testing, Foot Care, and Well-Baby), following successful completion of a 3-month probationary review.
- Other duties as required.
Phase 2: Supervisor:In addition to all Medical Assistant duties, Supervisor responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supporting clinic operations through leadership and guidance.
- Scheduling and approving time off/payroll.
- Overseeing clinic inventory, cleanliness, and administrative standards.
- Coaching and training clinic staff.
- Acting as the point of contact for operational and staff performance matters.
- Reporting to management and attending operations meetings.
- Upholding clinic policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
What We're Looking For:
- 1+ years of leadership, coaching, or supervisory experience (preferably in fast food, retail, etc.).
- Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of the Peel Region (including Brampton and Mississauga) (this is an onsite position, not remote).
- Must be permanently eligible to work in Canada or possess a valid Work Permit (no sponsorship available).
- New graduates or the final semester of post-secondary school.
- This is an active role requiring you to be on your feet all day.
- 1-2 years of post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- An undergraduate degree in health science, Kinesiology, or General Science is an asset.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a customer service environment (e.g., retail, hospitality).
- Excellent communication skills in English; other languages are an asset.
- Committed, reliable, and flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends.
- Willing to work at multiple clinic/office locations.
- Passionate about personal learning and development.
